Philly white-collar union members ratify contract

– Members of AFSCME District Council 47, the city’s white-collar union, on Wednesday ratified a new three-year contract, Mayor Kenney said.

Under the agreement, members will receive a 3 percent pay raise retroactive to July 1, 2017; an increase of 2.5 percent starting July 1, 2018; and 3 percent again on July 1, 2019.
Starting Jan. 1, 2019, members will contribute more toward their pensions based on their salary and whether they are current or new members to the unions.

New Tentative Contract Agreement for City Workers

– Negotiators for AFSCME District Council 47, Philadelphia’s municipal union that represents City of Philadelphia, professional, technical, administrative employees, and supervisors has tentatively agreed to a new three-year contract.

The tentative agreement would be retroactive to July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020 and guarantees pay increases each year of the contract.

The tentative agreement retains the current DC 47 members in a defined pension plan.

There will be a ratification meeting on Wednesday, June 20th at 6:00pm, location TBD.
