Located in quiet residential neighborhood, Whitemarsh House is a personal care residence that offers individualized care plans for residents with brain injury and/or mental health diagnoses.

We offer high quality, affordable and culturally diverse care that promotes and strengthens the health and well-being of all Whitemarsh House residents. Our experienced, professional team includes physicians, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, rehabilitation therapists and life skills assistants. We get to know each resident one-on-one. An individualized approach is taken to assure our residents’ quality of life, comfort, health and happiness. We maintain realistic expectations for increased independence and demonstrate an inclusive treatment environment respectful of input from residents and families.

Whitemarsh House first began treating individuals with psychiatric illnesses in 1977. By the mid 1980’s, we were one of the first programs in the state of Pennsylvania to begin working with individuals with brain injury.

The Whitemarsh House mission is to provide a fully accredited, comprehensive rehabilitation and community integration program for residents living with traumatic brain injury and/or mental health diagnoses. Our programs are designed to be person-centered, flexible and supportive of every care need for all residents. Our goal is to provide our resident community with a therapeutic, home-like environment. Each resident joins a team of therapists and clinicians to develop, implement, monitor and review their own individualized treatment program. At Whitemarsh House, we remain ever mindful of an individuals’ capability to meet his or her expressed goals by carefully considering each person’s strengths, needs and preferences with utmost respect.

Each resident’s needs are meticulously assessed from which a personalized care plan is developed, consistently implemented and carefully monitored. Appropriate training is given in life skills, vocational training, behavior management and recreation.
